Ingenious renegades

One day, a long time ago, I went to open the gate and there was an army of soldier ants just around the corner doing whatever it is soldier ants do in groups and lines. Then I found some that had strayed from the path. Ingenious renegades probably. I was careful not to step on them or scatter their line.
Then suddenly I noticed that the little renegades were trying to latch onto my legs. I thought maybe in their little minds that they thought I was a real sumptuous meal. If only they knew I had the power to sniff out their little lives. Tsk! But I wasn’t going to kill them. Well, that was before one of them attempted to bite me.
Why the story? There are times in life that we latch onto things that we aren’t even supposed to latch onto, maybe in the hope for daily bread or some kind of good ending. But oftentimes we realize nothing good comes out of it and the said course could lead to our ultimate ruin.
It’s important when making decisions to avoid hurtful endings and ultimate ruin. But you will agree with me that, right or wrong decisions could be hard to tell in reality, especially as it is hard to tell the end from the beginning. That is why I love to say there are no hard and fast rules to life. Do not underestimate the power/role of divine guidance and thoughtful permutations. No need to be hasty. Atleast, when we take our time, we can be sure that every decision made is with the consciousness of possible outcomes, good or bad.
