Public image or not

Many atimes we hear the beat to a popular song and we begin to hum to it or shake head. I know we all do it. Sometimes it’s not because you like the song o, could just be that it is loud enough or nothing is occupying your thoughts at the time. Or if you’re in company of people, it could just be that you don’t want to be the odd one who doesn’t know the trending song or some shit like that.

Well, just like with songs, many areas in our lives seem to look that way. We tend to concern ourselves too much with other people’s opinion of us. Or let the noise in our surroundings block out our inner voice. Well, I understand we are not islands and should care about our public image. Yes. But I’m thinking, of what use is it if it is to our own detriment eventually?

You didn’t come into this life to please anybody o. And if you’re going to give account hereafter, then it’ll be to God. Not any man. So don’t let the pressure sink you. Keep your head high. Walk past that beat, block it out if you must…however, if you like the song, feel free to hum to it. Don’t cave under pressure for public appraisal. Live life.

…..”nothing is occupying your thoughts at the time.”……. This is oddly true and it is so discomforting. You know if something is occupying your mind no matter the song playing you just can’t help but not give a fuck. The mind is a stupid thing.
And just be jobless now and you go wan almost dance.

At times we may need to please others for the sake of team, fraternity, and to keep relationship.

Anyways! Its not good to make it an integral part of our life.
We just got to please ourselves and God.

Agreed. But no need to compromise principles in a bid to please people. Else you’ll keep doing so for the rest of your life
